Balfour Beatty Rail Announces Promotions
January 7th, 2013The rail services division of rail infrastructure contractor Balfour Beatty Rail has promoted and expanded roles for several key staff members.
The Atlanta-based company has named RT Swindall as director of East Coast operations. He will also retain responsibility for the division’s equipment department and track solutions group. As part of the change, the company’s operations in Washington, Pa., will be consolidated into its Indianapolis office. Swindall will continue to be based in Jacksonville, Fla.
Balfour also promoted Steve Gorton, the former regional manager of the Rocky Mountain region, to director of West Coast operations. As part of the change, the division consolidated its Ethel, Wash., operations into an existing office in Gillette.
Jamie Yourren’s role as director of operations of crossings and signals was expanded to include the supervision of the division’s ACTA and PHL maintenance activities along the Alameda Corridor. Yourren will continue to be based in Wilkes Barre, Pa.
Swindall, Gorton and Yourren will continue to report to Mark Snailham, vice president of rail services.
Additionally, the company promoted Jason Bulger to senior operations manager of track solutions and named Lynn Houser as national business development manager. Both will continue to be based in Jacksonville.
