Wheeler Named Vice President Transportation at Norfolk Southern
February 3rd, 2009Effective Feb. 1, Michael J. Wheeler took over as vice president of transportation for Norfolk Southern Corp. Based in Norfolk, Va., Wheeler reports to Executive Vice President Operations, Mark D. Manion.
Wheeler joined Norfolk Southern in 1985 as a research engineer and went on to serve in various operations posts, including general manager mechanical field operations and general manager transportation.
Wheeler earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from Virginia Tech.
